Bales are nice and tight, so must be running his pressure good. What I can gather from what he's telling me the net feed into the chamber and continues to feed and the knife engages and cuts off with no problems, But, when you dump the bale there's no netting on it at all, it's just bunched up above the feed rotor (baler is a rotocut ), wrapped around the nearest rollers a bit. I've run some other balers along the way, and they've all seemed a bit like toys compared to the claas. We've had our 46 for 20yrs now and the thing is a tank. I don't know anything about this baler but the net wrap balers I'm familiar with (New Holland ) have specific threading instructions for the net wrap and different net wraps have different instruction in the same baler. I surely wouldn't be scared of that baler. Net wrap quality (DONT use cheap wrap ) and sometimes the cutting knife wouldn't engage because it would get stuck in the up position when the gate opened to reset it. I did have two things that seemed to give me a headache with that baler. That made a much more uniform bale that seemed to wrap better than a soft bale. Is he saying its feeding in and not wrapping the bale all the way? Is the net ripping? Is the bale wrapping but the cutter knife won't engage? How high is he running his pressure before he makes a bale? I always ran to red and then stopped for 3-4 seconds and ran it back up past red again. The bale circulation grabs the net and pulls it in until the cutter bar cuts it. If the net feeds (assuming it feeds the same as a 66 ) then that means it's wrapping a bale. I'm not sure I follow what the guy is telling you. I ran a rollant 66 several years before switching over to a Claas Variant 360 and 380. One other thing you might check is to make sure the paint and any rust is removed from the wrap guides (the green bars ) if they are rusty the wrap will drag on them and not start as well. I'm wondering if you already have the answer. I have a 46 and for what it's worth, I have never had that problem. I'm not overly familiar with net wrap systems, would like to have some ideas of what's going on before we buy. Seller says it wraps perfectly if he feeds it busted open squares in the garage but won't wrap one out in the field. Certainly not hay season here for awhile, so no way of testing it myself. It feeds the net into the chamber when it's supposed to but the netting piles up just above the throat of the baler. Seems to be in good shape but the seller told us that he had issues with the net wrap. We currently own a Claas rollant 46 with twine only, found a near identical model (except with net wrap ) not far away and looking to buy it.
